Over 15 000 professional buyers expected at TiTE x IHT 2025

Amid ongoing challenges such as global tariffs and the restructuring of supply chains, the Taiwan International Tools & Hardware Expo x International Hardware Expo Taiwan (TiTE x IHT) positions itself as the largest hardware trade event in Taiwan. Embracing the theme "Leading Industry Breakthroughs, Building a Global Procurement Hub", the expo leverages Taiwan’s manufacturing expertise and strategic supply chain role to connect with global markets. By offering a one-stop global procurement solution and fostering precise matchmaking with decision-making buyers, TiTE x IHT creates a platform where international commerce and industrial advancement converge.

Taiwan’s strategic role in the global supply chain

Scheduled to take place from October 21 to 23, 2025, at the Taichung International Convention and Exhibition Center (TICEC) in Shuinan, the expo is co-organized by the Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers’ Association and Lanza International Co., Ltd. It directly addresses critical global issues such as the US 20% provisional tariff, the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), and the broader trend of procurement de-risking. The event empowers businesses to navigate an increasingly complex landscape defined by the need for cost efficiency, risk diversification, and compliance traceability. Spanning 14 000 square meters, the expo is set to feature more than 400 leading domestic and international brands. It expects to attract over 15 000 professional buyers, including more than 1000 international decision-making buyers from strategic markets such as North America, Europe, Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, all reinforcing Taiwan’s vital position in the global supply chain.

The "front-shop, back-factory" model

Situated near Taiwan’s core industrial clusters – covering hardware, hand tools, machinery components, the automotive aftermarket, and metal processing – the Taichung venue embodies the concept of "Exhibition as Origin, Origin as Brand". The expo operates through a "front-shop, back-factory" model, enabling buyers to conduct on-site negotiations and connect directly with local supply chains. This setup takes full advantage of Central Taiwan’s flexible, small-batch, and high-variety manufacturing capabilities, combined with dependable delivery schedules. Such a model significantly reduces procurement cycles, lowers costs, and mitigates supply chain risks.

The expo will showcase products from prominent brands such as King Tony, Wolf’s Head, Kuani, Machan, Lancer, Proxene, Stand, Redai, Easen, A-Kraft, Karat, Eclatorq, Tien-I, Jun Kaung, Lucky, Swell, Infar, and Hsun Wang. Featured product categories include high-torque ratchet wrenches, professional automotive repair tools, riveting tools, and advanced electronic diagnostic equipment, particularly for the electric and smart vehicle maintenance sector. These innovations further underscore Taiwan’s essential role in the global automotive aftermarket.

Keynote address from Japan’s Tsubame-Sanjo Collaboration

Aligned with the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Global Order-Grabbing Initiative and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council’s TAIWAN SELECT program, TiTE x IHT is designed to attract high-level decision-makers from across the globe, including regions such as North America, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. Through collaboration with overseas trade offices and international trade associations, the event ensures highly efficient, one-on-one business matchmaking. A major highlight of this year’s expo will be the keynote address by Mr. Hasegawa, President of Japan’s Tsubame-Sanjo Trade Promotion Association. His presentation will focus on Japanese craftsmanship and adaptive market strategies, promoting deeper Taiwan-Japan industrial cooperation.

Enabling diverse market collaborations

In addition to domestic brands, the expo welcomes globally recognized industry leaders with established ties to Taiwan, including Stanley Black & Decker, Snap-on, Wuerth Group, KTC Kyoto Tool, TONE, Bahco, and Facom. It also aims to engage major global retailers and distributors such as Leroy Merlin, Kingfisher, OBI, Bauhaus, Hornbach, W.W. Grainger, Ace Hardware, Komeri, Cainz, and HomePro. With support from Central Taiwan’s comprehensive industrial ecosystem and agile production capabilities, the event encourages cross-continental procurement relationships, facilitates real-time supply chain integration, and opens the door to high-value business opportunities.

High-trust global procurement platform

According to Lai Liang-zi, Chairman of the Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers’ Association, TiTE x IHT is an essential international platform for solidifying presence in established markets such as Europe and North America while accelerating growth in high-potential regions like Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. Liu Tzu-feng, General Manager of Lanza International Co., Ltd., added that the event is curated with an industry-driven, market-oriented vision, transforming a single exhibition into a long-term catalyst for multi-market partnerships and a pivotal point in global business strategies. At a time marked by global tariff shifts and supply chain realignment, TiTE x IHT 2025 promotes the concept of "Exhibition as Origin, Origin as Brand". By integrating Central Taiwan’s quality assurance, flexible manufacturing, and fast delivery schedules with a strategic October procurement window and targeted buyer matchmaking, the expo provides a high-efficiency, high-trust platform for global procurement.
